WHALE WATCHING

Whale / Dolphin Watching mit Firmm (Swiss Foundation)

The Swiss Foundation Firmm was founded in 1998 by Katharina Heyer with the aim of researching and protecting whales and dolphins and their habitat. As the name Firmm (Foundation for Information and Research on Marine Mammals) already suggests, it is important to share the research results with many people. Our tour takes us along the Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) to Tarifa, the southernmost point of the European continent. Past horse and bull pastures, cork oaks and huge cornfields. In Tarifa, a marine biologist from the Firmm Foundation gave us a short presentation on the behavior of the whales and dolphins that live there. We then embark on a two-hour tour on the modern new research ship of the “Swiss Foundation” in search of whales and dolphins. After the boat tour we stroll into the old town of Tarifa and enjoy the typical Spanish tapas there.

This excursion lasts about 7 hours and with a maximum of 10-12 people you can individually enjoy an unforgettable excursion.
